ABOUT
US
Through connecting people to resources that educate students and
teachers about non-violent solutions, habits, and sensibilities:
"One day all conflicts will end in peaceful resolution."
Inspired by the senseless murder of 15 year-old Deanna Maran by
another teen; the Deanna Maran Foundation for Non-Violence seeks
to build an active group of students, teachers, parents and community
members who commit to teaching others about the symptoms of violence,
how to prevent escalation of violence, and finally, how to stop
it.
In the U.S., The Deanna Maran Foundation for Non-Violence is incorporated as a nonprofit (501c3) organization. The Deanna Maran Foundation relies upon tax deductible contributions for financial aid. Your continuous support brings us closer towards reaching our goals.
We plan to reach our goals in two specific ways:
* Providing scholarships and grants to teachers and students to
bring non-violent curriculum and programs to their school campuses.
* Using the story of Deanna Maran as a tool to teach the consequences
of violence among teens.
